The Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Dr. Mrs Christiana Fwenji Zumyil, has commended the Focal Point Concept Construction Engineering Services Ltd , Mevic Consultants Ltd and Arcprodev Design Associates Ltd for setting a standard on quality and timely delivery of projects in the Institution.
Dr. Zumyil made the commendation during the handing over of a Vocational and Technical Workshop by the Focal Point Concept Construction Company, Engineering Services Ltd, the rehabilitation of Lecture Halls for the Languages building constructed by the Groksap Resources Ltd and handling over of Hi- Jet Vehicles by Arcprodev Design Associates Ltd.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed satisfaction with the Companies for doing a good job and specifically acknowledged them for their timely delivery of the projects within the stipulated time.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor lauded the Federal Government for providing quality facilities in the University to aid the process of teaching and learning.
While appreciating the Federal Government and the Teriary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for the projects, she noted that the University was privileged to be among other Universities benefiting from the Government’s gesture and urged the beneficiaries to imbibe maintenance culture to avoid dilapidated buildings.
While handing over the keys to the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Arc. Godwin Williams of Mevic Consultants Ltd, the Contractor Focal Point Concepts Construction Engineering Services Ltd, Suleiman Hadeija and Arc.Benjamin Ajayi attributed the successful and timely delivery of the projects to the decision-making policy of their Companies mandate on quality jobs.
They commended the University’s Management for the support they enjoyed throughout the period of the project and called for synergy between the Company and the Institution.
Speaking on behalf of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Pro- Chancellor Hon. Funsho Ekundayo Olumoko represented by Council member Dr. Gwakzing Nimyel praised the Contractors for the quality work noting that the projects executed will add value to the Institution.
Earlier, the Director of Procurement of the University, Arc. Christopher Gamde and the Acting Director of Works, Arc. Inuwa Joseph explained that the handover signifies the project’s completion and readiness for the client’s use.
They all commended the Contractors and Consultants for completing the projects within the time frame and assured the Government of their readiness to continue to put in their best towards the growth and development of the University.
The event was attended by the Management, Internal Council Members, Directors, and staff of the University.
