The Acting Provost of Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin, Mr. Emmanuel Mahanan Josiah, has congratulated Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and the people of Plateau State on the occasion of Nigeria’s 2026 Democracy Day celebration, describing the state’s democratic journey as one marked by peace, progress, and purposeful leadership.
In a goodwill message issued on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff, Students, and the entire College Community, Josiah extended congratulations to the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Ngo Josephine Piyo; the Speaker and Members of the Plateau State House of Assembly; Members of the State Executive Council; the Chief Judge of Plateau State, Hon. Justice David Mann; the Head of Civil Service, Mr. Stephen Pam Gadong; and all citizens of the state.
The Acting Provost noted that Democracy Day provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices of Nigeria’s founding fathers whose efforts laid the foundation for democratic governance and the sustenance of democratic ideals across the country.
He particularly commended Governor Mutfwang for promoting peace, unity, and development through the administration’s “Time Is Now” agenda, stressing that the governor’s commitment to good governance continues to inspire hope across critical sectors, including health and education.
According to Josiah, Plateau State College of Health Technology, Pankshin, has witnessed remarkable growth and transformation under the current administration. He attributed the institution’s recent successes to the governor’s support for education and human capital development.
He highlighted the recent approval of full accreditation for eight academic programmes by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), describing the achievement as a major milestone that will further strengthen the institution’s academic standards and national recognition.
The Acting Provost assured the governor of the institution’s continued support in building a prosperous Plateau State and sustaining democratic values through the promotion of hard work, dedication, patriotism, and responsible citizenship among staff and students.
“As we reflect on 27 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria, we pray for continued progress, unity, and prosperity for our nation and Plateau State,” he stated.
While wishing the country greater democratic dividends in the years ahead, Josiah reaffirmed the college’s commitment to supporting government policies aimed at improving education, healthcare, and overall development in the state.
