Hon. John M. Dafaan, the member representing Mikang/Shendam/Qua’an Pan Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, on Sunday July 26, 2026 paid a congratulatory visit to the reinstated Rekna of Bashar, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdullahi Idris.
The visit took place at the royal palace in Bashar, Wase Local Government Area, following the monarch’s reinstatement.
Speaking during the visit, Rep. Dafaan described the reinstatement as a significant development for the Bashar Chiefdom and expressed hope that it would foster peace, unity and development in the area.
He prayed for wisdom, good health and strength for the traditional ruler to continue providing effective leadership for the chiefdom.
The lawmaker also reaffirmed his commitment to working with traditional institutions across his constituency, describing them as key partners in promoting peace, stability and community development.
Alhaji Abdullahi Idris was recently reinstated as the Rekna of Bashar, a development that has been welcomed by many residents of the chiefdom.
