Gabriel Hodus Elmore, popularly known as “The Mayor of Jos,” has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry in Nigeria and beyond. As a music promoter, entrepreneur, and employer of labor, Elmore has earned a reputation for discovering and nurturing talent, propelling them to greater heights in the music and entertainment industry.
One of Elmore’s notable achievements is the creation of “Pitch Perfect Naija,” a reality musical TV show that brought together 15 talented housemates for a month-long competition. This innovative project showcased his ability to conceptualize and execute large-scale entertainment projects.
Elmore’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding creativity is evident in “The Mayor’s Award,” a prestigious honor he single-handedly established to acknowledge the contributions of creatives in the industry. Recipients of this award include notable figures such as Karkuzu, Dr. Panam Percy Paul, Saksolo, Jesse Jagz, and Jeremiah Gyang, among others.
As the founder of Bed Music Africa, a record label that has signed talented artists like Tije Manari, the late Mr. M, Aux Boi, and Chebene, Elmore has demonstrated his ability to identify and nurture emerging talent. His label has become a launching pad for artists seeking to make a mark in the music industry.

Elmore’s Hideout Lounge is another testament to his innovative spirit, providing a platform for entertainers to showcase their talents and further their careers. By employing 80% of entertainers, he has created opportunities for artists to pursue their dreams while earning a living.
In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Elmore has also made a significant impact as a music producer. He has trained numerous music producers free of charge and produced music for several artists without compensation, demonstrating his commitment to giving back to the industry.
With his recent election as the Governor of PMAN Plateau, Elmore’s influence is poised to extend beyond his individual projects. His emergence presents an opportunity for the government to partner with PMAN and leverage his expertise to revive Plateau State’s glorious days as a hub and home of entertainment, boosting the tourism and hospitality industry on the plateau.
