The Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon. Amalau Samuel has been conferred with an award of excellence by the Forum of Local Government Information Officers, Plateau State chapter, in recognition of his outstanding performance in Community and Youth Development.

Also honoured with the prestigious award was the Director of Personnel Management (DPM) of Bokkos Local Government Council, Chief Dr. Victor Zumji for his commitment to service delivery and administrative excellence.

The event held at the Local Government Council Secretariat was attended by prominent personalities, including members of the Executive Council, Directors, Traditional Council members, and staff of the Local Government Council.

Presenting the award to the Executive Chairman and the Director of Personnel Management of the Council, the National President of the Forum, Mrs Alice Bature commended them for their unwavering contributions to the progress and development of the Local Government Area, describing their leadership as exemplary and people-oriented.

The National President explained that the award presented is aimed at promoting effective governance and improved service delivery across Plateau State Local Government Councils.

Mrs. Alice Bature also extended the Forum’s condolences to the Local Government Chairman and the entire people of the Council Area over the incessant attacks across the Local Government Area which led to loss of lives and property, praying God to bring a lasting solution to such ugly incidents.

Receiving the award, the Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government Council, Hon Amalau Samuel, expressed profound gratitude to the Forum of Local Government Information Officers, Plateau State chapter, for the honour bestowed on him.

The Chairman described the award as a great motivation and a landmark achievement that will spur him to put in his best towards the growth and development of his people.

The Chairman, while dedicating the award to God, his family, and the entire people of Bokkos Local Government Area, said his administration will continue to deliver more people-oriented projects in line with the ‘Time is Now’ vision of the present administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang.

The Council Chairman commended the Local Government Information Officers for their unwavering dedication to promoting professional excellence and innovations across the Council, and pledged his readiness to continue supporting initiatives and programmes aimed at empowering his workers.

The Director of Personnel Management of Bokkos Local Government, Chief Dr. Victor Zumji, while receiving the award appreciated the leadership and members of the Plateau State Local Government Information Officers for considering him worthy of such an award.

The DPM, while dedicating the award to God, his family members, and the entire staff of Bokkos Local Government Council, described the gesture as a morale booster that would spur him to put in his best towards delivering quality service to the citizens.

Chief Victor Zumji appreciated the Executive Chairman of Bokkos Local Government, Hon Amalau Samuel for always giving attention to the staff matters and assured him of his total support and cooperation to enable him to succeed.

Also speaking, the acting President of the Bokkos Local Government Traditional Council, Saf Lawrence Ayizat congratulated the Chairman and the DPM over their recognition by the Forum of Local Government Information Officers, noting that the Traditional Council will continue to give them the desired support to enable them to succeed in delivering on their mandate for their people.

The Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Bokkos LG chapter, Comrade Istifanus Daniel, congratulated the Council Chairman and the Director of Personnel Management for the honour, noting that their recognition is well deserved, judging by their track records of achievements.

He promised on behalf of the Local Government workers to continue to give them the necessary support to enable them to achieve their set goals.
