In line with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, which advocates for inclusive and equitable quality education for all, the Brenda Goodall Foundation has launched its “Back to School Project” in Plateau State.
The initiative is designed to provide essential school supplies and educational support to elementary and high school students in rural communities, helping to reduce barriers to learning and promote academic growth.
Led by the Founder, Sarah Dakas, the Foundation’s team visited St. Louis Primary School, Zargung Kamang Foron, in Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area, where backpacks and books were distributed to indigent pupils.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Dakas explained that the project was inspired by her deep desire to ensure that every Nigerian child has access to quality education, regardless of background or location. She emphasized that education remains a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering future generations.
She further revealed that additional phases of the Back to School Project will be rolled out in the coming months, reaching more communities and supporting more children on their educational journey.
On their part, the school teachers and pupils were full of appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the initiative, noting that the materials provided will aid learning.
