Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, has officially flagged off the distribution of 500 trailers of subsidised fertiliser to farmers across the state to support the 2026 farming season.
Speaking at the Jos South Local Government Secretariat, Governor Mutfwang announced that the fertiliser will be sold at a subsidised price of ₦20,000 per bag. He explained that distribution will be carried out through a computerised system to ensure transparency, accountability and equitable access for farmers.
The initiative is aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, enhancing food security and supporting farmers as part of the state’s commitment to sustainable agricultural development.
