Frontline Mikang House of Assembly aspirant Hon. Timdi Nkat has denied reports claiming he has withdrawn from the Mikang State Assembly race under the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of tomorrow’s primary election.
In a phone call interview with our reporter, Timdi said the publication was false and urged supporters to disregard it.
“At no point did I withdraw from the race, neither have I held any meeting or consultation suggesting such. I remain fully in the contest and focused ahead of tomorrow’s primary election,” Timdi said.
The campaign team had earlier issued a statement describing the publication as misleading and baseless. The team described the claim as untrue and called it an attempt to mislead voters in Mikang Constituency.
The statement also said the campaign remained confident of victory and accused political opponents of spreading misinformation to create confusion among supporters. It urged party faithful and well-wishers to come out in large numbers, remain peaceful, and vote for Nkat during the APC primary election.
Timdi is contesting the APC ticket for Mikang State Assembly. The primary election is scheduled for tomorrow, May 20, 2026.
