Jos, the Plateau State capital, has witnessed a massive turnout of people, including prominent personalities from different walks of life, as Governor Caleb Mutfwang was formally received into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking during the grand reception held at the Polo Field in Jos, President Bola Tinubu described the event as unique, noting that Governor Caleb Mutfwang is a great asset not only to the state but the Country in general.

Represented by Vice-President Senator Kashim Shettima, the President noted that receiving Governor Mutfwang into the Progressive Governors’ Forum calls for purposeful, inclusive, and unifying leadership.

The President stressed that his administration remains focused and committed to delivering more people-oriented projects.

Responding, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, appreciated the President, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, and the entire Plateau community for the warm reception accorded him, stressing that his administration remains committed to delivering quality and more people-oriented projects that will add value to the State.

The Governor revealed that his decision to join APC followed a wide consultation, prayers, and careful reflection, with his electorates in the State as the Country moves toward the 2027 election.

Governor Mutfwang reassured his people of his unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and sustainable development in Plateau State, and pledged his unalloyed support to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Welcoming Governor Mutfwang into the Progressive Family, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, described the move as a unifying step towards repositioning Plateau State on the path to accelerated growth and development.

The National Chairman assured citizens that Plateau State stands to benefit from the new political alignment, stressed the need for unity, purposeful leadership quality, and effective service delivery among political stakeholders.

Prof. Nentawe promised to support the Governor to ensure he wins the 2027 Governorship election. Noting that Plateau is united and urged citizens to continue to rally round the Governor and President Bola Tinubu to succeed in delivering quality representation.
