Jos was full of praise on Sunday, May 31, 2026, as Governor Caleb Mutfwang marked three years in office with thanksgiving.
Our correspondent reports that the service at COCIN Headquarters Church felt more like a testimony meeting than politics. The hall was packed with former governors, senators, traditional rulers, and Plateau citizens who came to thank God together.
Governor Mutfwang stood before the congregation and spoke from the heart. He remembered the 2023 election battles and the security challenges that tested Plateau. Then he said the line that got everyone’s attention: “Through it all, I have learned to trust in Jesus. Through it all, I have learned to depend upon His Word.”

He said God’s faithfulness showed up in real ways these three years: over N16 billion paid to pensioners who had waited too long, N4 billion for medical help to the poor and sick, water restored to communities that hadn’t seen it in 20 years, and the Plateau Specialist Hospital lab now meeting WHO standards.
The Governor got emotional when he spoke about women, youths, and children. “I will never forget your prayers and sacrifices when our mandate was under attack. You stood for Plateau, and I will always stand for you,” he said.
Church leaders prayed for peace, and traditional rulers asked citizens to stay united. The message for year four was simple: trust God and keep building Plateau together.
