The APC rerun primary election for the Mikang State House of Assembly has produced a clear lead for Hon. Timdi Nkat, following the collation of results from eight wards, while the election in Piapung District was cancelled by electoral officers due to violence and intimidation allegedly perpetrated by thugs.
According to the results announced from the completed wards, Hon. Timdi Nkat secured a total of 2,615 votes, while Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil polled 1,637 votes, leaving Timdi Nkat with a commanding lead of 978 votes.
