The Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS) has announced the commencement of the distribution of more than 5,000 unclaimed drivers’ licences received from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The Service called on residents of Plateau State who have applied for their drivers’ licences but are yet to collect them to visit the PSIRS headquarters at No. 6 Bank Road, Jos, for immediate collection.
According to the agency, the licences have remained unclaimed for some time and are now available for collection during official working hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Applicants have been advised to come along with a valid means of identification and any other relevant documents that may be required to verify their identity and facilitate a smooth collection process.
The Head of Corporate Communications Department of PSIRS, Wulashik Lucius Dafaan who disclosed this in a public announcement, urged eligible residents to take advantage of the exercise and collect their licences without delay.
He noted that the exercise is aimed at ensuring that all outstanding drivers’ licences are delivered to their rightful owners while encouraging applicants who have been waiting for their licences to visit the Service’s headquarters for collection.
