The Forum of Local Government Secretaries in Plateau State has congratulated Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang on winning the All Progressives Congress gubernatorial primary and emerging as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.
The forum also congratulated senators, House of Representatives members and state House of Assembly candidates who emerged as APC flagbearers across the state.
In a statement signed by it Chairman, Pharm. Gyang Samuel Isaiah, the forum said Mutfwang’s victory reflected his unifying leadership, which brought former governors together, and his focus on people-oriented projects and grassroots development.
It added that despite security challenges over the last three years, the administration had delivered projects that impacted communities at the local level and positioned the state for growth.
The statement cited capacity building programmes, efforts to attract investors and job creation for youths as some of the reasons Mutfwang received awards including Sun Newspaper Governor of the Year 2025 and Silverbird Governor of the Year.
“With his mentorship and commitment to change, Plateau State can continue to move toward becoming an economic hub if given another four years,” the forum said. It described Mutfwang as a mentor whose development vision extends to the local government level.
The forum prayed for continued success, wisdom and protection for the governor as he leads the state.
