In a renewed effort to reduce out-of-pocket medical expenses among vulnerable members of society, the Brenda Goodall Foundation (TBGF) has enrolled some persons with disabilities into the Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (PLASCHEMA).
The intervention, carried out last Thursday in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, is aimed at helping beneficiaries access essential healthcare services without the burden of overwhelming medical expenses.
The Executive Director of the foundation Sarah Dakas, led the presentation of the PLASCHEMA insurance cards to the beneficiaries.
Speaking during the presentation, Sarah said the intervention had become necessary particularly in view of the prevailing economic hardship and the additional financial challenges faced by persons with disabilities.

She said society has a responsibility to support vulnerable people, stressing that access to quality healthcare should not depend on a person’s financial situation or physical ability.
According to her, healthcare support remains a key part of the foundation’s work, with the latest intervention designed to promote a healthier and more inclusive community where persons with disabilities can access medical care without fear of excessive costs.
Sarah reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to its vision of “Neighbour Taking Care of Neighbour,” saying it would continue to provide support and meaningful opportunities to people who need them most.
