The Plateau State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Caroline Dafur Panglang, has assured that women across the state are ready to mobilise and deliver a resounding victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Caleb Mutfwang in the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Caroline gave the assurance on Friday August 21, 2026 during the inauguration of the Tinubu Torch Bearers Support Group in Plateau State which was convened by Plateau APC woman leader Hon. Longret Tokden, held at Gowon Hall, Crispan Hotels, Jos, where she charged women to take the message of government interventions to the grassroots and sustain door-to-door mobilisation.
The Commissioner said several interventions by the Tinubu administration, particularly through the office of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have impacted women and vulnerable groups in Plateau and across the country.
She cited the N1 billion donation, the empowerment of 500 women, financial support of N200,000 to over 200 elderly persons, and empowerment initiatives for persons living with disabilities as evidence of the administration’s commitment to improving welfare and economic wellbeing.
The Commissioner also appreciated the wife of the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Helen Mutfwang, describing her as a mother and lover of women. She commended her for her continuous support to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development and to women development initiatives across the state.
According to Hon. Caroline, beneficiaries and supporters of the administration have a responsibility to reciprocate through sustained support. “The only way to pay back is to give them a resounding victory come 2027,” Panglang said.
Hon. Caroline urged members of the Tinubu Torch Bearers and other women supporters to move beyond political gatherings and engage residents directly in their communities.
She called for sustained door-to-door mobilisation to communicate the achievements of the Tinubu and Mutfwang administrations and to encourage greater support for both leaders.
The Commissioner expressed confidence in the victory of Tinubu and Mutfwang, attributing her optimism to what she described as the “amazing work” being undertaken by both administrations for the benefit of the people.
She urged the women to remain united, committed and consistent, stressing that effective grassroots engagement would be critical to translating political support into electoral victory in 2027.
The inauguration had in attendance deputy governor of Plateau state who represented the governor, wife of the executive governor, APC state Chairman, APC North Central woman leader, FCT woman leader, women leaders, political stakeholders and members of the Tinubu Torch Bearers across the Plateau State.
